Word Search Enthusiast Finds Concealed Insults in Puzzle
Word hunt fan finds concealed insults in brainteaser - but they didn't even spot the worst ones
The bumper activity book is intended to be a bit of fun - but the word search exposed some very unusual words
Picture a situation: Your colleague buys you an activity book freely based on something you love, such as cats.
Maybe from time to time jokingly refers to you as a 'crazy cat lady', or maybe you arrogantly refer to yourself as one.
Moreover, the book is purely meant to be a bit of light-hearted fun. It CERTAINLY isn't destined to allude to anything more far-reaching, tricky or totally personal.
But amid the puzzles and activities written in the ‘Coloring Book’ was a word search that, on closer examination, did just that.
Concealed messages
A Netizen captioned a picture of one of the word searches, illumination how he had originally bought his girlfriend the puzzle book as a joke.
However, it became understandable to both that the "kitty-related" word search was assembling a very special sort of joke - and one which is no way jokey.
In addition to the kind of words you'd suppose, such as 'meow', 'hairball' and 'tabby' were quite a few other words.
Apparently riffing off the 'crazy cat lady' typecast, are words like the offensive and sexist 'spinster'.
Additional terms, such as 'depression', 'prozac' and 'insanity' go one further, treating psychological health issues with a degree of disrespect.
